One of my users has a CD-ROM called AREMM which says it works for Windows 
3.1 and higher. In trying to install this on Windows 2000, the installation 
process went very smoothly, but when you try to run the program, it says 
the CD is not found - check and make sure it is inserted. The CD drive 
(this is a laptop) doesn't crank up at all, so it seems to me that the 
program is having a problem communicating with the drive.

Have any of you had success with a similar ancient program that behaved 
this way? I don't want to waste too much time trying to support software 
this old, but I told the user I would give it a shot. I already gave all 
users full control of this software's directory and that didn't help, but 
this doesn't seem permissions related anyway.
