The lab layout your are suggesting is very similar to what we have here in the Interactive Learning Center
of Lewis & Clark. We have 25 G4's in an elongated horseshoe, with the workstations along the walls and a
projection screen at the front of the classroom. The 'con' side of this arrangement is that the
intsructor station is one of the workstations on the perimeter and there is no eye contact without
everyone turning away from the workstation. Also, to view the projection screen at the front of the room,
everyone must turn away from the workstation.
I think a more traditional "teaching lab" layout would be preferable- rows of workstations facing front,
with the instructor station at the front of the room, under the projection screen, facing the lab.
