Mariana,

When I first started working for the University of Hawaii we were known as
the Foreign Language Labs.  Then in the 90s I believe we changed our name
to the rather cumbersome Language Telecommunications, Resource & Learning
Center.  This Fall we changed our name again shortening it to simply the
Language Learning Center (LLC).  We felt the simpler, the better and it
accurately reflects who we are and what we do.
