Just as we will be stuck with "foreign" languages instead of "world" 
languages or "language other than English" (for such is our LOTe), we 
will hear most folks say "lab". Our language lab program is based on 
what is done in the sciences (where they have "labs"). This being 
said, and because I like flowery titles, I work in the "Muriel 
Tomlinson Language Resource Center" (which I believe I named, or at 
least had a hand in the naming).
