Ursula, some time back you asked about CD/DVD storage.
We use a black molded plastic DVD box from Polyline
(30 cents each, in bulk, including the price break
for multi-case orders).
We store DVDs and CDs in these slim shelf boxes (and
yes we put them on a bookshelf). They are 5 1/4" on
the short edge. There is a little room inside the
case for related papers, booklets, etc. - not much
but enough for several sheets folded in half.
The feature we especially like is the clear slip cover
which allows us to print our own sheet of labelling
and content info. The cover takes a sheet 10 x 7 1/2.
We buy a lot of our stock from Polyline, in fact.
(We use the Elk Grove Village, IL office --
800 701 7689; www.polylinecorp.com). Their prices
are good (better when you can buy in bulk), and
their shipping very efficient. When comparing costs,
remember to factor in the cost of shipping, which
is not insignificant.
best
