Deanne,

Although I haven't tested it on 98, you may be able to use your Windows 98 CD to setup your "Regional and Language" options. (If this does not work, the best solution will be upgrading to 2000 or XP.) This modification will allow you to change your US style keyboard to the language of your choosing. You will not have to use the Unicode system.

1.) Go to Start/ Settings/ Control Panel
2.) Open Regional and Language Options
3.) Click on Advanced
4.) Pick the language(s) you would like to add in the drop down menu
5.) Check the language(s) you would like to view
6.) It will most likely ask for you system CD
7.) After installing, you should get a small "EN" on the task bar.
8.) Click on this and it should allow you to change languages at will.

Note: For Spell check and other office functions for foreign languages, you will need to purchase the language pack for that language.

Feel free to call or email directly if you have any questions.

I saw in help that if a person has Windows 2000 and Office 2000, then
they should be able to use the pop-up Unicode text box to enter cyrillic
characters in JMatch.

Now, I have Office 2000, but only Windows 98. Do you have any
suggestions? I realise that I could always use the Unicode numbering
system myself, but that makes for rather awkward entry methods. Plus, I
don't know if I have the correct codes for I.E. 6. I looked at the
website http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/ but on my browser, half of
their cyrillic characters don't show up, and that is with me having
chosen to read the page as cyrillic text.

Thank you,
