>Subject: modem question for Mac 6500

LLTI Colleagues:

I have a colleague who has obtained a MAC 6500 and wants to know
about using it for accessing the Internet at home for a senior
citizen. The unit has OS 8.6.1 and originally had an ethernet card
installed--not a modem card.

What is needed is some advice as to how to get this unit connected to
the internet at a reasonable cost (external or internal) and what is
the best "speed" that can be expected?

Thanks for any help you might provide.
