>Subject: Re: #6420.1 Airport problems (TBob) (!)

------------------
My son returned from an immersion program in Canada, where he was
using an old iBook (running OS9.2, bought June 2000), in which I had
an AirPort card. He did not use AirPort connections up there (no base
station), but when he brought the machine back (having put it through
the travel security mill), it would no longer recognize its card. I
re-seated the card, making sure all directions were followed, and I
reinstalled AirPort 2.0. It still does not recognize the card.

Before I take it to the nearest authorized Apple repair 70 miles
away, any suggestions I might take?

I have to admit that before my son went away we had some trouble with
card recognition, and one day a form popped up while my wife was
using the machine, asking here if she wanted to set it up. She did,
but we have not been able to rproduce those conditions. I have been
much more successful with my Powerbook.

TBob
