Brown University seeks candidates for the position of Director of the
Language Resource Center.  The LRC Director will supervise all aspects of
the planning and operational functioning of the Language Resource Center
(aka language Lab), including personnel, acquisition and cataloguing of
holdings, hardware and software purchases and maintenance, budgeting and
grants.  The LRC Director is the primary advocate for language technologies
on the Brown campus.

Please note that this is a full-time, 12 month staff
position.  Qualifications sought include:  an advanced degree (M.A. or
higher) in a relevant discipline (e.g. instructional technology, foreign
languages, education, second language acquisition), experience in foreign
language technologies and multilingual computing issues, knowledge of both
Mac and Windows operating systems, evidence of strong managerial and
organizational skills, etc.
