Dear all on LLTI,

There is a Language Technology Specialist position available at the Yale
University Center for Language Study.

Primary responsibilities for this position include foreign language
technology support for faculty who are teaching or developing materials in
CLS facilities and providing support for CLS computing services. The
position, which is part of the CLS User Services team, also includes
conducting workshops and training sessions, web page development, and
promoting collaboration with other foreign language and technology
professionals at Yale and in the field. (Note that some duties typically
associated with lab management--such as payroll, budget, and facilities
maintenance--are mostly assigned to other CLS staff and are not part of
this technology-focused position.)

With this search we are seeking a replacement for Maria Montzolis, who has
recently accepted the Director's position at Trinity College. Yale has been
extremely fortunate to benefit from Maria's contribution over the last
three years, and she will be missed very much by everyone here.

For more information about the position, consult the official posting at:

http://www.yale.edu/hronline/placement/

(Click on "Browse Job Postings" in the upper right, and then search for
"All IT Jobs." You can look for requisition number CDCN7964 in the Center
for Language Study.) This web site also includes instructions for
submitting applications. (Applications get sent to Human Resources, but
it's a good idea to send me copies of applications as well.)

The position reports to me, and please feel free to contact me with any
questions about it.

Thanks,
Brad Gano
