What is the Certificate and who would benefit from it?
It is a unique programme developed specifically as a professional 
qualification for Language Advisers.  The programme aims to develop new 
professional skills to perform an effective role regarding language 
learning support and promoting learner autonomy provides a useful 
foundation of teaching and learning theories on completion offers an 
opportunity to transfer to the MA/Diploma in Language Learning and Technology

What does it consist of?
Three 20-credit modules:
Language Learning, which provides an introduction to recent research on 
second language learning
Management of Open Learning for Languages, which explores issues of open 
and distance language learning (ODL) in a range of environments
Advising for Language Learning which examines the role of the language 
learning adviser as a new professional

How is it delivered?
Delivered entirely by distance learning using Merlin, the University$E2s own 
electronic learning environment, allowing some flexibility in pace
Over 2 Semesters (full-time) or 2 years (part-time)
Fee: £935.00 (EU citizens); £2,160.00 (overseas students)
