I just checked OS 10.1.3 and Apple Works 6.2.4 on my on my iBook with my
two printers and they printed underlined text normally. The two printers
are an HP 970 USB printer and an OKIDATA OL810e/PS (post script printer)
connected to a Farallon iPrint adapter via ethernet network.

I think the problem is probably OSX and the printer. I read on the
MacInTouch web site some posts about printer problems. I think the
problems are mostly USB though. Here is the link.

What printer driver does the HP use under OSX? Is there a printer
description for the HP 4050N PCL6? I linked my OKIDATA printer driver
that is in system OS 9 with the OSX print center and the printer works
surprisingly well in OSX.

Has your colleague tried printing with OS9 and the latest version of
Apple Works? Does it print normally there?

Good luck, Jim
