Snapz Pro is a powerful and flexible screen capture utility. It can
do static shots and movie-like recording of screen activity (or a
selected part of the screen). It is a shareware program, available
through

www.versiontracker.com

(and other places). I don't know Camtasia, so I can't compare it to
Snapz Pro.
