To solve this problem (in an easy way), I just open soundForge/coolEdit to capture the 
real format to wave format.  It might be tedious but it works.

Unfortunately, .rm and .ra are not among Goldwave's listed supported
formats.  To repeat the question, we're trying to convert *from* Real
format *to* a standard format.  As a last resort, we can certainly play
the .rm/.ra file and recapture it, but I'd like to exhaust the other
options first.  I've contacted Real and am waiting for a response.
