Hi Andrew,
I was told that these exams (v1.0) and Win2000 were incompatible, too, but they're not. To confirm this
(again) I just ran the F-CAPE on my Win2K machine (!). The workaround is that the user must be registered as a
power-user within the Win2K system. This has not been a problem for us since we create special logins for
students taking the exam (e.g., "MCLstudent") that are registered as powerusers and yet provide only restricted
access to local & networked files.
The folks at BYU suggested this workaround to us, but I think they also informed us that they would not support
these exams in this configuration, recommending instead the WebCAPEs.
Good luck,
Norval Bard
