Below is a copy of a sabbatical replacement position for one year which
includes directorship of our Language Lab.

VISITNG ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF SPANISH AND
DIRECTOR OF THE LANGUAGE LABORATOR
2002-03


Scripps College, a women's liberal arts college with a strong
interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a position in
teaching Spanish at the Visiting Assistant Professor level and
Directorship of the Language Laboratory.  This position is a one-year
replacement, without the possibility of renewal.

A Ph.D. or ABD with experience in lower division language teaching and
familiarity and experience with Language Lab management is preferred. 
The course load will be three lower-division language courses, two in
the fall semester 2002, and one in the spring semester 2003.  The
directorship of the Language lab includes the supervision of
work-study
students and administrative duties.  Application deadline is April 20,
2002, but if necessary, the position will remain open until filled.
