------------------

We have used Glossmaker in the past with great success (particularly in a
German project), but Dan Beeby (the creator of the Makers) informed me just
this week that the Makers are no longer being supported. How sad -- this
project was funded by Mellon, but there are no plans to continue the
excellent work that was done. After numerous frustrating attempts to use
the Glossmaker at Middlebury, Swarthmore, and at a third IP address, I
discovered that it was possible to create a page, but when it came time to
edit it, all kinds of errors popped up. It is at this point that it
becomes unusable. It seems unwise to invest too much energy into creating
materials for software that is no longer supported.

Hi,

I'm looking for links to websites with activities that were created with
the
Interactive Exercise Makers

In particular I'm looking for examples in Spanish, French, German and if
there are any with Chinese, Japanese, and Russian (although I'm unclear as
to whether or not Makers work with those languages)l.

I appreciate any links you can offer. Feel free to send them to me off list
so as not to bother the rest of the LLTI world.

Thanks,
Lauren
