------------------
To power these modules might be possible with a couple of power supplies
and a wiring harness. Add to that the salary of an Electronics Technician
for a couple of days to wire it together. I wired this kind of thing for
our old Language Lab when it looked like we were going to lose the console.
So I figured a way to power all the student booths without a console. It
was this stuff -

Console: SONY LLC-5510 MK2, circa 1985
Student Recorder Module: ER-5060

I sent +15 and -15 volts down the (correct) wires to the ER-5060 modules,
which then ran in the "Student" mode only(meaning students could play and
record tapes, but there were none of the other functions provided by the
console) It took me half a day to wire the first two student
positions! The next two would have taken much less time, if we had
continued the experiment.

Alternately, you could call Chester http://www.ctslabs.com/sys-tmpl/door/
and see if they will sell you an old power source for your console, if they
can find one.

Of course it would be best if you could upgrade to a new system.

Best Regards,

Mark Sanford
