>Subject: Japanese immersion (off topic)

Hello,
A colleague is looking for a Japanese immersion program. We've had a
look around on the Web but haven't found quite what she's looking for.
Her criteria are:

* maximum of 6 weeks - preferably one month
* reasonably priced (less than $1500)
* in the U.S. or Canada
* geared toward research fluency (vs. speaking fluency) (i.e., focus on
reading comprehension)

She's had a look at the program at Middlebury but feels it's too
strict/inflexible in terms of the comings and goings of the
participants.

Do any of you have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Carine
