Ed,

this is done at Princeton for Baccalaureate and other occasions. A company does it (apparently they use a 6' x 9' SELECO screen) with Media Services. Expensive.

If you want details I can refer you to our Media Services people.

Marianne

  Hi All,
  Just slightly off-topic, but,
some of our students' (ever-helpful*grin*) parents have suggested that for
our commencement we provide for those who don't have good sightlines by
displaying the (outdoor) ceremonies on a big Jumbotron (how
  appropriate)-type screen.
Since the ceremonies take place outdoors, standard projection isn't
feasible. Does any other school provide these A/V aids? I can't imagine
that it's financially or practically feasible to do for a graduating class
of about 800 in a small outdoor space.
(Placing a few large monitors around isn't what they're looking for,
  unfortunately.)
Has anyone had experience doing this sort of thing?
  Thanks,
  Ed
