TBob,Since your Airport card  is very new and your iBook is one of  the older
style, it could be that your airport software needs to be upgraded to
the version 2.0 software. Check out Apple's info at : http://www.apple.com/airport/Perhaps another colleague has more direct experience with this? -Steven
