In general, the intercom feature is either buggy or disorienting as
there may be a slight delay. I've been using NA for 5 years but don't
use the intercom feature. But if you do, be sure that in your
workstation setup preferences (Setup>Workstations>Find using...) you've
established your groups via TCP/IP and not AppleTalk and, more
importantly, that in the Preferences dialog (Setup>Preferences) that
you've selected "Only send changes made by QuickDraw." You should not be
using virtual memory on either the admin or student workstation. The
other problem you may have is that the sound input source may be
different for the intercom to function with a sound app like SoundEdit
at the same time.
