On the PC I use the ASCII codes (ALT + number keypad) to insert accents and
diacritics in Eudora or Mulberry with great success.  To see what the
numeric keypad combinations are you can visit our website at
http://www.umich.edu/~langres/learning/docs/diacritics.html.
