------------------
The SouthWest Association for Language and Technology, (SWALT; a
regional IALLT group), is reorganizing to better serve those of you who
reside in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah. Transitional
officers have been selected until a formal election can take place. We
are hoping to have a reorganizational meeting sometime in November
at a location in California or Nevada, yet to be determined.

If you reside in the five states of the SWALT region, please consider
joining SWALT and volunteering a little time to make our regional group
a strong resource for anyone using technology in language teaching.

Also, plan to join with us next spring in Monterey, California, where we
will meet
in conjuction with the 4th Annual Digital Stream Conference.
For more information about SWALT, please contact Pat Miller,
