Damion Renner asked about chat spaces with logs. Here are two ways I can
think of to do this off the top of my head -

Have students use Yahoo or another IM. Yahoo has a way to print chats. This
way you have a free method of chatting and can invite or block the students
you wish to chat with.

Another method is to use the Tapped In MOO which will send you a chat log.
Check it out at http://www.tappedin.org/
This is a space designed for teachers and students.

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a way to capture live language text chats into a
log file for example. The purpose is to have pairs of students chatting
about a specific topic, and then when they are finished, the instructor
can point out grammar and spelling errors to the students, from the text
log.

I appreciate any suggestions
