I have developed a reasonably good software tutorial for teaching Xhosa to
2nd language users, in Authorware, which features all of your requirements,
excepting the zipped disk part. This, however, seems quite simple, as one
would make use of the JumpOutReturn function, and use Winzip for the
zipping, after which Winzip would return to the Authorware package.

Hello.
You could try Brigham Young's Oral Testing Software (OTS). You can
check the site at http://creativeworks.byu.edu/hrc/
Jerry Larson gave a presentation at the IALL conference and we are
going to try it, too.
