I received a request for a small Lab that someone might be getting rid of
because of upgrading to another one. I'm going to copy the request below to
see if this fits anyone. I'm patching together 2 e-mail that explain the
need. Thanks!

<<We are looking for an analog language lab systems that are used or for
lease.

Allow me to explain. We are starting a small residential, intensive
language center for English as a Foreign Language and are looking to equip a
lab to accommodate 4-10 students in one lab period working individually. We
need a system where the instructor can monitor & intercom.

Our $E2Äúmother corp.$E2Äù, if you will, is in Belgium and their materials for labs
are on cassettes with lab books. In the next year or two we should go
digital but as we are due to open next month we are in a bind to find a
cassette based system with teacher console, for now.

We are in the start-up phase of a small language center. We hope to
eventually catch up with technology and invest in a multi-media lab.
Unfortunately, on our beginning budget, this is not an option. Because we do
plan to upgrade our lab as our expansion allows, we don't want to put a great
deal of money into a new analog system. We are aware that many schools have
moved on to more current systems, and wondered what happened with their old
ones? Are they available for sale?

We're looking for a two-track cassette based lab with a teacher's console
and six to ten student stations. We need the capability for the teacher to
monitor and intercom the student, but it is not necessary for the students
to be grouped--they will all work individually. If you have upgraded your
lab and have a system we may be able to use or any information concerning
someone who may, please contact Nick or Jinni Cucuzzo at (540) 554-2870
[log in to unmask] or fax (540) 554-8722. Thank you! >>
