Jeff,

Our Greek profs use Macs and I know you'd prefer a PC solution. There used
to be a Windows version but I think that is no longer available. Although
there is some way to transfer the unicode version into Windows. If you must
do this on a PC, check out
http://www.arts.cornell.edu/classics/Faculty/Rusten/greekkeys/FAQ.htm

Greek Keys 7.0for Mac has a character set for typing and displaying Greek
characters that includes both fonts and a special keyboard. The option keys
add the accents to appropriate vowels. Diacritical marks for poetry are also
included.

Option keys used to type accents:

Pressing Option and one of the top row of keys tells the computer to add the
specified accent over the next character typed, e.g.:

       option 1 acute
       option 2 grave
       option 3 circumflex
       option 4 smooth breathing
       option 5 rough breathing
       option 6 smooth and acute
       option 7 rough and acute
       option 8 smooth and grave
       option 9 rough and grave
       option 0 smooth and circumflex
option - (hyphen) rough and circumflex
       option shift 1 diaeresis
option shift 2 diaeresis with acute
option shift 3 diaeresis with grave

Greek Keys 7.0 may be purchased from Scholars Press Customer Services, P. O.
Box 6996, Alpharetta, GA 30239-6996, USA, 1-800-437-6692.
