OK, so this is not your run-of-the-mill deal. Understanding, however,
that there are still many users of the Philippe laser discs, I offer
the following:

In cleaning out the storage area, I found a number of SMF-503C
connectors, which have one function only. They connect a Macintosh
serial port to a SONY laserdisc player. Other disc players might also
qualify, but I haven't tried. If you happen to be one of those rare
birds who can use one or more of these, let me know and I'll send
them to you at no charge. These are left over from IALL '95 at Notre
Dame, when we needed a bunch of them. I do have cables like this in
use with iMacs, by the way, with the addition of a serial to USB
adapter.
