At the University of Denver from June 15-17, 2001

Creating Effective Web-Based Materials

This hands-on workshop will show you how to find and evaluate appropriate
Web-based resources for
teaching and how to incorporate these resources in classes with one or more
computers through the creation of Web page and print activities. You are
encouraged to bring existing course materials.

In this workshop you will
*gain practical strategies for working with a Web browser
* understand ways in which you can integrate Web-based materials effectively
into some of your current ESOL-related work
*print copies of all sample projects, lessons, and activities so that you
can take them with you
*have the option to continue group communication through shared e-mail
addresses or an electronic discussion list

Who should attend?
ESOL professionals who have a strong background in ESOL pedagogy and
teaching methodology and beginning intermediate-level Internet skills. Only
basic computer skills (e.g., can use a mouse, open and close files and
sofware applications) are required.
