------------------
I received the same attachment with the virus. I think I caught it and I
deleted it as well.

Subject: #6146 Possibility of Virus in an attachment

The following was brought to my attention by Daniel Tom. Apparently my
machine (a Mac) or my eyes did not see this virus/file while I was
processing the mail and forwarding it to the listserv machine. I appreciate
this message and would recommend that all subscribers be reasonably careful
when opening enclosures. I normally throw out all exe files.....

Otmar,

I don't know if it is appropriate to post this directly to the list or
not. I was wondering if others on the list received a virus in an e-mail
attachment purportedly from a Loretta Moreira
<[log in to unmask]>. The attachment was called ADDREG.EXE.
Our information technology services caught the virus and removed the
attachment before sending the e-mail on to me. The accompanying message
was a medical record in Spanish which made me suspicious immediately and
the fact that the message was from someone in Ecuador. The only way I can
think of that my e-mail address would end up in Loretta Moreira's address
book is through LLTI.
