We have a Toshiba Tecra 750 DVD, one of the first notebooks that had DVD.
It outputs a PAL signal from a PAL DVD. I would not be surprised if most
computers did this. Of course this means that you would need a PAL monitor.

LCD projectors are another matter, and the ones I have used handle the PAL
signal just fine.

Cheers,

We are trying to hook up a PC with DVD into a big NTSC Tv set:

Does anybody know if you can output a PAL movie (the region code has been
set up to "2" already) from the computer into the NTSC tv. set?
If not, is there any computer software/hardware that can handle the
conversion (dvd genie...)?

Thanks a lot,
