At UMBC we have the NOVA desks with the recessed monitors for 25 computers. Our students really like them and it
does allow for good sight to the teacher and allows for more personal writing space. To keep down the glare we have
removed the fluorescent lights directly overhead and installed 4 incandescent lights as off the row as we can. There
are 4 high intensity lights on the 2 walls near the computer area. The back wall is all windows so there is
sufficient light. We did not like the trash can lid looking anti-glare things - this works ok. One disadvantage to
the recessed monitors is that it makes it harder to share a monitor - it's hard to have 2 people peering into the
desk. The desks are30"W x 36" long x 30" H.
