CALL FOR PAPERS

19TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE ASSOCIATION OF MANAGEMENT/
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MANAGEMENT (AoM/IAoM)
www.aom-iaom.org

October 10-14, 2001 in Québéc, Canada
Venue: Radisson Hotel Québéc

Conference Theme: In A NEW TIME, IN A NEW WAY: MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS FOR
THE NEW ECONOMY

The AoM/IAoM invites your participation as a presenter of one or two
papers, serve as a panel/ workshop/symposium organizer, session chair,
discussant, reviewer or attendee. Applied research related management
manuscripts, teaching related submissions, and practitioner
contributions are welcome.

All other information regarding the conference including a detailed
description of session formats, the acceptance and publication process
and the submission procedures can be found by clicking on the first two
links of the AoM/IAoM home page which are labeled $E319th Annual
Conference$E4 and $E3Call for Papers on www.aom-iaom.org where you also find
all the relevant forms including membership, conference registration
forms and fee structure.

We are preparing for a particularly exiting conference this year, which
will feature two additional initiatives: the 3rd Annual Project 2005
will occupy a portion of the program and has posted a separate call at
(www.aom-iaom.org/Project-2001.html). Project 2005, a multidisciplinary,
multi-year effort designed to promote the integration of management,
education, technology, and leadership through a series of international
congresses and special publications. Formal papers, workshops and
symposia are invited as contributions.

And the $E3New Professor$E4 (www.aom-iaom.org/new_prof.html), an avant-guard
initiative, composed of creative, enlightened, participating educators
concerned and deeply dissatisfied with the present conditions of
institutions of higher learning. These professors are those who are
committed to break away from the 20th century, monolithic
brick-and-mortar models of traditional universities. This portion of the
conference does not require the submission of formal papers. Instead,
the program creates a platform for abstract submissions that will be
presented as short talks grouped into colloquia based on common themes.

The $E3New Professors$E4 will form a group of avant-guard individuals intent
on developing affective technological, pedagogical paradigms and moral
philosophies designed to change the present structure and delivery of
educational programs and services. This group will have direct
publication access to the writing and release of multiple textbooks and
journals geared toward the propagation and practice of necessary
educational reforms. A publishing house has already been selected.

Additional programs featured at the conference are Human Resource
Management and Organizational Behavior and Management (HRMOB), with
Cyber-technology and Computer Science (CSCS) situated among sections of
specialties noted in the listed AoM/IAoM divisions.

* Each of these programs, complete with names and acronyms are official
trademarks belonging to each of the organizations both nationally and
internationally.

All may be accessed via www.e-academe.org and/or viewed directly on
www.aom-iaom.org .

The deadline for initial submissions is May 31, 2001.

All AoM/IAoM and Project 2005 papers will pass a blind peer review
process for publication in the 2001 AoM/IAoM and Project 2005
Proceedings. A selection of exceptionally provocative and innovative
papers from these selections will be published in edited volumes of a
number of journals.

All $E3New Professor$E4 submissions will be reviewed for program inclusion
as short talks and abstract publications, yet readied for full-scale
textbook chapters and journal article publications within a two-year
window.

Consider AoM/IAoM 2001, its divisions, Project 2005, and the $E3New
Professor$E4 as vehicles to:

- Showcase your initiatives, efforts and creativity
- Become a member of a modern network of like-minded scholars and
practitioners
- Develop professional associations with creative, innovative people
like yourself representing the higher tiers in academia, industry,
and government worldwide
- Explore leadership opportunities in the AoM/IAoM and its associated
initiatives
- Experience a venue of exiting conference and local fun-filled ventures
and cultural attractions while enjoying the enchanting beauty of the
oldest and largest French-speaking province in North America

gourmets who like and are excellent judges of fine foods and drink.
- Thrill to the brilliance and excitement of entertaining performances
featured at the conference banquet and other events.
