Or Macromedia Flash or Electrifier Pro from Electrifier, Inc., which
can allow user selection of subtitles (and other tracks) during
playback of the movie, even when the movie is playing from a web
page.

However, these extra steps/programs are not necessary, if it's OK to
have the subtitles show all the time, just as they would in the movie
theater or on a VHS tape.
