>Subject: Known Issues with UnionWay's AsianSuite 2000?
>Date: Wed, 28 Mar 2001 10:13:27 -0500

------------------
Dear LLTIers:

We recently purchased a site license (with funding from our International Ed
program) for UnionWay's AsianSuite 2000. It's the most recent edition, with
accompanying patches, etc.

We are noticing that it routinely crashes Microsoft Word 97, which is our
word processor of choice on our Windows machines, all of which are currently
running Windows 95. Crashes occur when the user quits the UnionWay
application before closing out MS Word -- thereby losing the document that
the user was working on. Although we could attempt to modify user behavior
(insert laugh track here ...), we were wondering if anyone else has come
across this problem and found a fix.

UnionWay's tech support helpfully suggested that we reinstall the program,
and of course had never heard of any problems whatsoever with their product.
We have now reinstalled the program several times, in various orders and
configurations, with the same results.

Thanks,

a.
