Wilfrid Laurier University -- the Department of Languages and
Literatures invites applications for the position of Co-ordinator of the
Laurier Language Centre. This state of the art multimedia learning
centre features 18 work stations using the Tandberg Prisma and CSS-net
lab configuration, and plays an integral part in Laurier's second
language programs in French, German, Italian, and Spanish. The
Co-ordinator will oversee and facilitate the use of technology in
language pedagogy. Applicants should be able to demonstrate expertise
with computers, multimedia applications, and emerging language
technology. An advanced degree and/or teaching experience in second
language acquisition (French, German, or Spanish preferred) will be
required. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
are also required. Hiring range: $22.54 - $27.04/hr. This is a one year
full-time position from July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002. Please send
