The Center for New Media Teaching and Learning at Columbia University in 
the city of New York has an Educational Technologist position open.  The 
individual should have two years or equivalent experience in educational 
technology, be adept at Web publishing (hand-coding and using Dreamweaver), 
be able to manage many projects simultaneously, and be comfortable working

Description
Under direct supervision, the incumbent provides support for the creation, 
implementation and use of the online resources in classrooms; develops, 
installs, and maintains software and hardware required to support such 
efforts; provides guidance to others on moderate to more complex problems 
related to application oriented system programs; responsible for the 
documentation and training required for the creation of superior, 
accessible training materials; assists in the definition of plans and 
direction of such endeavors; performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent required. 0-2 years related experience, 
and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. 
Extensive experience using Macs and Windows PC's. Superior interpersonal 
skills. Proven background with the latest web-based technologies. Interest 
and familiarity with instructional technologies and a good understanding of 
electronic media equipment. Must possess some knowledge of TCP/IP 
networking and experience working in a networked environment. Able to 
present and teach high quality courses in related topics. Excellent oral 
and written communication skills and ability to write superior training 
materials and articles for publication. Familiarity with research tools. 
Ability to perform data analysis and application programming. Familiarity 
with the Unix environment preferred.
