------------------
I will be giving a presentation on surviving the transition from a bricks
and mortar lab to a virtual one at the upcoming Calico conference. I would
very much like to include the experience of other lab directors who have had
made this transition. If you have any tips, tricks, or advice that might
help others, I would appreciate your sharing them off-line <[log in to unmask]>.
I will compile all the comments and post back to a web site (I'll post the
URL for the site on LLTI).

Unfortunately, with limited funding (paying most out of my own pocket) I had
to choose between Calico and IALL this year. Calico won because Florida in
March was emotionally more appealing than Texas in late Spring.

I will also be giving a workshop on QuickTime Pro (how to do text tracks,
etc.) if anyone is going to Calico and is interested.
