We have "just digitized the tapes." Students can, of course, pause, rewind,
etc. They cannot change the speed.

Greetings to y'all,

We are considering digitizing the audio tapes used in our language
programs.
I would like to know your opinion on that. I am particularly interested
in
knowing:

1. whether you have just digitized the tapes, and therefore students are

listening to the texts with nothing on their computer monitor (besides
the
navigating commands, i.e rewing, fastfoward etc...)

2- or that you have the transcriptions of the texts on the monitor (with
the
possibility of the text being highlighted or underlined as the audio
enfolds
)

3. or that you have added some other options such as the possibility of
playing the audio texts at a slower speed etc...

I would appreciate all your comments, recommendations etc...
Thanks y'all.

fatima
