Dear Members,

This discussion of WebCT and Japanese is very timely. I attended a lecture
in Nagoya (Mei-Dai) just yesterday by Murray Goldberg, WebCT's 'inventor'
as well as Shoji Kajita of Mei-dai who has made a Japanese adaptation of
version 1.3.

Version 4.0 of WebCT will be 2-byte compliant, but the earlier versions
aren't. Here is a URL (all in Japanese) that explains what is available.
There is also a Japanese-based mailing list accessible from the page.

Cheers,
   --Tom Robb, Kyoto
