>Subject: IALL Council Positions (Repost!)

------------------
(Apologies for this reposting of a long announcement, but please read on and please consider contributing your time to IALL.)

September 25, 2000

SUBJECT: IALL COUNCIL OPEN POSITIONS

Dear Colleagues,

At the Summer Leadership Meeting in June IALL (International
Association of Language Learning Technology) authorized the creation of
several new Council positions: K-12 Coordinator, Publicity Coordinator,
Consultant Coordinator and Web Editor. In addition, existing Council
positions are currently, or will soon become, vacant.

Thanks to several of you who volunteered, we now are pleased to announce the following appointments:

Membership Coordinator: Sue Breeyear (Univ Vermont)
Distributions Coordinator: Ron Balko (Concordia College)
Design Kit Editor: Mikle Ledgerwood (SUNY Stony Brook)
Assoc. Design Kit Editor: Ron Bergman (Cal State Univ Chancellor's Office)
Consultant Coordinator: Bruce Parkhurst (Boston Univ)

Some previously announced positions remain unfilled and IALL is continuing its search to fill these volunteer positions.

Council members fulfill many roles: some are involved in conducting the
regular work of the organization by planning and carrying out initiatives,
and providing services to the membership. Others are the contact points for
the two-way communication between the organization and regional groups or
affiliate organizations. Please review the open positions, and consider
whether your talents and skills might be employed to serve the organization.
IALL is a construction of its membership!
