LECTURER/ASSISTANT LECTURER
FRENCH STUDIES
Monash University, Melbourne, Australia
PLEASE BRING TO THE ATTENTION OF POTENTIAL APPLICANTS:
We wish to appoint a tenurable lecturer (level B) or assistant
lecturer (level A). Start date: July 2001. Applicants with research
and teaching interests in any area of French Studies are encouraged to
apply. Applicants with interests in the social sciences will be
especially welcome.
Essential qualifications:
A very strong research agenda. Native or near-native command
of French. Ability to teach French as a foreign language over
several levels and to design or contribute to the design of coherent
language programs.
Desired qualifications:
A higher degree. Teaching experience (including language teaching)
at tertiary level. Proven ability to work cooperatively as a member
of a team.
Appointment will be made at a level appropriate to the successful
applicant's qualifications and experience and in accordance with
classification standards for each level.
