>Subject: annotation software

I am looking for existing software in PC platform that allows one to
annotate written text with text definitions, pictures, videos, etc. If
anyone is familiar with SmarTText by Thom Thibeault of Southern Illinois
U., (http://www.siu.edu/~nmc/smarttext.html) that is what I have in mind.
It creates hot-buttons with words for which the student can click on
various icons to receive a video, pictorial, or textual annotation. It was
authored with Hypercard, and at this time there is only a MAC version. Any
help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your attention. Greg Taylor
