Subject: Language Laboratory student stations

From: Martin Schreiner <[log in to unmask]>

I am closing down our Language Laboratory at Hilles Library
this summer.
New facilities here at Harvard have made Hilles' small
outpost for language
course support obsolete.

Does anyone know of someone or some small media center that
may have use
for our equipment. I am giving it away to anyone who could
use it and
would be willing to come and take it away.

Specifically, I am disposing of six Tandburg 600 student
stations with the
special headphones/microphones.

I am also disposing of eight very old TEAC tape decks that
have been
adapted for playback of language instructors' lessons on one
track and the
recording of students' practice on the other track. In
other words--stereo
made into two simultaneous mono tracks.

I will be getting rid of these this month.

Thanks, Marty
