Dear Colleagues,

The University of Pennsylvania, Multi-Media Services department is
accepting applications for the following IT Support Specialist position.

IT Support Specialist Responsibilities:
Support digital media services for the School of Arts and Sciences.
Design, install and maintain systems for digital media including
audio/video editing workstations, field production equipment, streaming
video servers, video teleconferencing, desktop publishing, multimedia and
web authoring.  Collaborate with faculty and others to develop and document
technical and logistical processes for effective use of digital media in
instruction.  Participate in all phases of multi-media productions.
Support users of the computer labs and workstations in the Multimedia
Services facility, including the Language Lab.  Train faculty and staff in
operation of the labs, and develop written instructions.  Collaborate with
system administrators to achieve optimal technical performance.

Qualifications:
BS/BA in Computer Science, Educational Technology or technical training
equivalent; minimum two years experience with digital media production and
end-user computer support.  Experience in development and use of
computer-assisted language learning technology preferred.  Experience with
digital media production tools including recording, editing and authoring
required.  Experience configuring and maintaining Macintosh and Windows
operating systems (98 and NT) required; experience with lab configuration
and support preferred.  Excellent organizational, interpersonal and
communication skills are essential.
