------------------
Hi Karen,

A battery of on-line tests would be great, especially for the CMS course. the problem, as usual, is finding the time to make them. (They could be put right on the website and be password protected).

As long as the students were taking the tests in class, the cheating problems outlined in the message wouldn't be to big a concern I don't think. Once the tests were done outside of class, then I think timing would have to be imposed i.e. only so many minutes allowed for a teet to be completed. Changing pasword frequently might also be a way to avoid students checking out the test before they have to write it.

Maria
