I'm on a 12 month contract and do have to work all the various breaks 
except for the week between Christmas and New Years which are "bonus" days 
off (not counted against my 22 days of vacation per year) for all 
university staff employees.  I am considered professional staff.  By the 
way I have to work the Friday after Thanksgiving unless I take a vacation day.
