Syracuse Language Systems, a publisher of multimedia software for
foreign
language instruction, is seeking 5 German and 5 Italian teachers to
write
content for a new product.

Qualifications:
*       5+ years experience teaching German or Italian
*       Preference given to teachers who are also native speakers of the
target language
*       Superb writing skills in both L1 (Eng.) and L2 absolute top
priority
*       Experience in materials writing for print or multimedia highly
preferred
*       Computer competent- PC, Word '97, Internet & email.

Majority of staff must work on site in Syracuse office, but will
consider
a
few writers working via Internet. Positions are full time, 9-5
availability.
Project will run approximately May 9th, 2000 - October 2000.
Compensation
negotiable, based on experience in multimedia foreign language materials
writing or course design.

Write
"German/Italian Content Writer" in the subject line. The writing sample
should be a lesson (a reading passage, a conversation, etc.) including
the
functional task objective, comprehension questions, grammar
explanations,
vocabulary definitions, etc.

Applications will be accepted through the end of April 2000. Interviews
will
be scheduled the first week of May 2000.
