MELLON TRI-COLLEGE
LANGUAGE PROJECT

Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Swarthmore Colleges, with funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, are engaged in a program to integrate new, technology-enhanced approaches into the teaching of foreign languages, literatures, and cultures, and deepening inter-institutional cooperation among the three colleges.  We seek a full-time professional for the summer of 2000 and the 2000/01 academic year to support these goals:

The Technology Specialist provides day-to-day support for language faculty in the use of technology; conducts workshops for faculty and for students working in the Language Centers.  Requires significant experience in the use of technology-based instructional methods (preferably in the languages), experience with both Macintosh and Windows environments and experience training others in the use of technology.  Skills and experience with HTML, Javascript, CGI scripts, server administration, use of technology in teaching non-Western languages highly desirable; bachelor's degree desirable.
